THE ASSEMBLY

The Assembly is an interactive theatre-meets-board-game experience about sustainability and democracy,

designed for grades 6-8, where theatre, strategy, and social activism meet!

Nominated for five Dora Mavor Moore awards in 2025, we are bringing The Assembly back to Toronto schools

During every performance, students form The Assembly, where they are invited to work together to balance their city’s current needs with the needs of future generations. This show is a fun, cooperative 75-minute challenge that gives students and audience members the chance to collaborate, deepen their empathy, and understand their impact on future generations.

Grade 6 Teacher

“Student voice and choice at every stage of this game is so special. It was particularly special to see shy students feel empowered to share their ideas in such a supportive environment. Thank you for allowing everyone to feel heard!”

Grade 5 Student

“I’ve never had so much fun at school!”

Grade 7 Teacher

“It is so amazing to see both curriculum and empathy coming together in this amazing interactive game. Students are able to think critically about their city while recognizing that all decisions have an impact on future generations.”
